Manufacturing & materials

Cast components are produced in our iron foundry according to individual requirements – from pattern making and mould casting to mechanical finishing. Flexible manufacturing processes enable the production of single parts as well as small and medium batch sizes for a wide range of mechanical and plant engineering applications.

Whether grey cast iron, ductile iron or special alloys, each component is manufactured with high precision and tailored to the required mechanical properties. In addition to casting, we also provide mechanical machining and surface treatment on request – delivering ready-to-install components from a single source.

FAQ

The DI MATTEO iron foundry produces cast components for a wide range of applications, from mechanical and plant engineering to functional and decorative castings. The portfolio includes machine components, spare parts and cast iron products such as pans, roasting dishes and decorative castings.
Our material range includes grey cast iron and ductile iron as well as special alloys. Material selection is based on the technical requirements and the required properties of the individual casting.
Yes. Foundry patterns can be produced based on customer drawings or 3D CAD data. Depending on the requirements, patterns can be made from aluminium, synthetic resin or wood. Existing patterns can also be modified and maintained.
Production ranges from individual castings to small and medium-sized series. The most suitable and economically viable production approach depends on factors including component geometry, quantity, pattern and the specific requirements of the casting.
Our capabilities cover pattern making and core production through moulding and casting to subsequent processing operations. Where required, cast components can also undergo machining and surface treatment.
Yes. In addition to cast components for industrial applications, the foundry manufactures its own cast iron products. These include pans and roasting dishes as well as artistic and decorative castings.
