DI MATTEO Group funds training equipment for Beckum hospital
The physiotherapy department at St. Elisabeth Hospital Beckum now has two new training devices that help elderly patients build strength, improve stability and regain confidence in everyday life.

DI MATTEO supports physiotherapy at St. Elisabeth Hospital Beckum with new training equipment
With a donation of around €4,800, DI MATTEO Förderanlagen GmbH & Co. KG has strengthened physiotherapy services at St. Elisabeth Hospital Beckum. The clinic was able to purchase two new training devices – a cable machine and a leg press – which are used daily, particularly in geriatric care, supporting patients on their way back to an independent everyday life.
Two new training devices
The two devices expand the existing physiotherapy offering with important training options:
The cable machine allows versatile exercises for the upper body, core and shoulders.
The leg press supports targeted strengthening of the leg and hip muscles.
Elderly patients in particular benefit from this equipment. Regular training helps improve mobility, balance and strength – key factors in preventing falls and safely regaining mobility after a hospital stay.
Commitment driven by personal connection
The initiative for the donation came from Orlando Di Matteo. During a hospital stay in Beckum, he noticed that precisely these training devices were missing from therapy. Out of gratitude for the excellent care and support he received, he decided to specifically support St. Elisabeth Hospital and enable the purchase.
This reflects DI MATTEO’s core values: acting responsibly, maintaining strong regional ties and supporting people in a very practical way – not only in industry, but also within the company’s local environment.
Donation delivers immediate benefits in therapy
The new equipment was integrated into daily therapy routines immediately after delivery. Therapists report that the cable machine and leg press have been used intensively from day one and have significantly improved training options. Especially for geriatric patients, the devices enable individual programmes focused on muscle strengthening and stability.
For the hospital, the donation represents a sustainable investment in quality and patient safety – without placing additional strain on the operating budget.
Invitation to the regional business community
With this donation, DI MATTEO also aims to encourage other companies in the region: those with the opportunity can make a measurable contribution to local healthcare through targeted support – for example by investing in modern therapy equipment or additional services that ease daily hospital operations.
This helps create a strong network of partners, further strengthening Beckum as a place to live and work – to the benefit of patients, staff and the wider community alike.
