Outstanding achievement: Moritz Nawrot receives the FH Innovation Award
We would like to congratulate Moritz Nawrot on receiving the Innovation Award of South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences at the Soest campus. The university recognised his outstanding bachelor’s thesis in the field of electrical engineering, which was completed as part of his dual study programme at DI MATTEO Förderanlagen GmbH & Co. KG.

In his thesis, Moritz developed an intelligent moving floor system that forms the basis for more efficient and uniform conveying of difficult-to-handle bulk materials – such as biomass, wood chips or refuse-derived fuels. Using a mechatronic moving floor model, he was able to evaluate different movement patterns and thus make an important contribution to the further development of modern conveying technology.
The thesis was supervised by Prof. Dr. Dominik Aufderheide from South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences. We would like to thank him for his excellent academic supervision and the valuable collaboration.
The award clearly demonstrates how successfully theory and practice can be combined within a dual study programme. We are proud of Moritz’s commitment, creativity and passion for innovative technical solutions – and look forward to working together with him on the conveying technologies of tomorrow.
Congratulations, Moritz!
