DI MATTEO wins the 2025/2026 Münsterland Innovation Award
From an initial idea to an award-winning innovation: DI MATTEO has won the 2025/2026 Münsterland Innovation Award in the “Wirtschaft_KMU” category with the ODM – Inline Air Separator IPS.

Award-winning innovation from Beckum
The winners of the 2025/2026 Münsterland Innovation Award were honoured at Schlossplatz in Münster on 29 September. DI MATTEO received the award in the “Wirtschaft_KMU” category for its patented ODM – Inline Air Separator IPS.
A total of 97 entries were submitted for the Innovation Award. Following our nomination this summer, the IPS was one of 19 innovations selected by an independent jury. We are delighted that DI MATTEO is now among the seven recipients of the Münsterland Innovation Award.
Heavy particle separation directly within the conveying stream
The award-winning Inline Air Separator IPS was developed to separate heavy contaminants directly within vertical pneumatic conveying lines. Heavy contaminants such as glass, metals or stones can be separated from the conveying stream, while airborne fuel particles continue through the conveying system.
A key feature is its integration into the existing conveying process. The IPS uses the existing conveying air stream for separation and requires no additional energy input for the separation process. Particularly when handling alternative fuels, the continuous removal of heavy contaminants can help protect downstream equipment and contribute to a more stable downstream process.

From development to an award-winning solution
For us, the Innovation Award is a special recognition of a development that originated from a specific practical requirement and is now successfully in industrial operation.
At the same time, the award recognises everything that goes into a development of this kind: technical expertise, experience in bulk material handling and the collaboration of many people – from the initial idea through engineering and manufacturing to operation within the plant.
We are delighted to receive this award and would like to thank Münsterland e.V., the jury and everyone involved in making the Münsterland Innovation Award possible.
